Placencia is a gorgeous emerald peninsula in southern Belize with 16 miles of sandy beaches. The Caribbean sea is to the east and the thriving Placencia lagoon to the west looking towards the Maya Mountains on the mainland. 

 

The peninsula can be easily navigated by foot, on a road bike, or by golf cart. Placencia village offers a nice variety of amenities - public beaches, an assortment of restaurants, coffee shops, fruit and veggie stands, banks, and convenience stores.
